Today is D-Day.

70 years ago, today, more than 150,000 warriors risked their lives to beat back a murderous force of evil that needed to be put down.
Of that number, 4,413 died that day.

Some never even touched enemy soil.

Some died within seconds of landing on that beachhead.

Some fought through the day, yet did not survive to the next.

All brought honor to themselves, their respective countries, and to the people for whom they laid down their lives to save from a life of servitude to the Nazis.
Many thousands died over the next weeks as the Allied forces slowly pushed back the enemy until they were defeated.
My family and I honor these men and women and their families for the sacrifices they made.
God bless them.
RIP.
