Here is something interesting…

Jobs wife asked him mockingly,  “Are you still holding onto your integrity?” …in other words, keeping your circumstances from directing your heart.
This points back to Proverbs 4:23 Above everything else keep your heart, for out of it come the issues of life.
The fact of the matter is, you might be maligned, lied about, and attacked, but they can never get your heart. Only you can allow that to happen.

Above everything else keep your heart.

The heart! It has to be the heart! Out of it are the issues of life! From it, the mouth speaks! Words may deceive, calculated actions can disguise true character, but the heart consistently reveals whats really inside!

Think about your day.
Did someone offend you?
The truth is, there are always opportunities to become offended, but will we? Sometimes it is a battle to take every thought captive, but remember that the Holy Spirit is standing with, in, and on you, in any battle you may face–even something as seemingly minor as taking offense.

Keeping your heart, as the Word puts it, is true, character building stuff.
